WELCOME TO FULL CIRCLE FOOD INTIATIVE'S AQUAPONIC PROJECT
We’re working to build a truly circular food system for our town—one that transforms food waste into new life, fresh harvests, and positive change. Our vision is bold, but we’re just getting started.
Right now, we’re in the early planning and development phases of our charity. We haven’t built the infrastructure yet, but every conversation, partnership, and donation moves us closer to making a real impact. Here's why this project matters to everyone in our community:
-
Turning food waste into resources: By collecting and fermenting local food scraps using bokashi methods, we hope to create valuable feed for black soldier fly larvae, which will help fuel our future aquaponic gardens.
-
Growing food sustainably: Aquaponics, powered by recycled nutrients and natural cycles, can help us grow fresh, healthy food with less waste and fewer environmental impacts.
-
Building community resilience: By working together, we can reduce landfill waste, teach ecological stewardship, and make nutritious, local produce more available to those who need it most.
With your help—ideas, time, encouragement, or resources—we can turn this ambitious vision into reality. Explore this page to learn about our goals, the science behind aquaponics, and how you can play a role in shaping a food system that benefits everyone. Your interest and support now will help lay the foundation for a healthier, greener future for our town!
